THE BROOKS OF LIFE

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  A Brook is a small, narrow stream of water, usually smaller than a river and often found in the countryside, forests or valleys. It may flow gently and can join a larger stream or river

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  In Oke-Ere, we have Agbagu andĀ  Gbarin BrooksĀ  that can serve as tourists centres. Ā Agbagu is located at Ayegunle while Ā GbarinĀ  is at Yewa and their uniqueness is of paramount importance.

You must ask whether there is anyone in the stream while going there to fetch water. If there is no response, you will start beating the small CalabashĀ  you want to use to fetch water because they don’t use any other thing to fetch water there except Calabash. If there is no response, you will start going there to fetch water. If you go there without confirming whether there is someone there and you are not fortunate to meet someone there,Ā  the deity inside the brooks will start attacking you. People from all over the world can come to Oke Ere for sight seeing because we have a lot of entertainment/tourist attraction or centers that can make people laugh and forget their sorrows. I have seen the performances of Eyo in Lagos during Eyo festival and how people cherish it but truthfully have similar and better festivals in Oke Ere that are of international standard and deserve to be patronized as a yearly festival.
